City Trips bring members from different REA chapters into one major real estate hub for a concentrated programme of company visits, site tours, case studies, networking and informal activities. They typically run for two to three days and bring together around 20–30 selected participants from across 12+ chapters of the network.

Each trip is built around three parts:

1. Direct access to leading firms

Each day, members visit several leading companies across the market for presentations, investment cases, workshops and conversations with professionals. The programme is designed uniquely diverse, giving exposure to different and complementary strategies, teams and parts of the industry.

2. The market itself

Site visits bring members into completed landmark assets, developments and live projects, adding a physical view of the city and the real estate behind it. A City Trip is designed to show how a market actually works – not just from a meeting room.

3. Everything around the agenda

Dinners, drinks and other informal activities are an important part of the format. Members arrive from different cities and universities, spend several days together and build relationships that continue well beyond the trip.

The result is a concentrated mix of industry access, market exposure and cross-border networking. For partners, it creates the opportunity to meet a highly selected and internationally diverse group of real estate talent in a much closer setting than a conventional recruiting event.

REA’s first City Trips in Amsterdam (REA City Trip Amsterdam) and Frankfurt (REA City Trip Frankfurt) were both extremely successful, and the format is now expanding across the network, with over a dozen trips planned across Europe, North America and Asia.
